Welcome to NC Integrative Women’s Health!

Health is a state of being. It is our natural state when we are aligned with who we are, who we are here to be in this life.
When we are in the flow of life and take proper care of ourselves and our natural environment, health can be achieved in the moment by moment decisions and actions we take.
We must strive to eat what nourishes us. We must allow our emotions to flow like the babbling brook, gently moving in the natural flow of its nature, rolling over and around obstacles.
We must learn how to receive with grace what is given and express gratitude for our blessings.
And when we are still, listening to and feeling the flow of all that is moving inside our physical bodies, we can find reverence for the divine design.
If you are looking for freedom from life challenges that have led you to discomfort physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, then you are welcome to join a movement of change.
Change starts with you.

“Having the knowledge to cultivate one’s own health on a daily basis is the key to a life of greater freedom.”

ABOUT ACUPUNCTURE AND CLASSICAL CHINESE MEDICINE
Foundational for traditional healing is the focus on food as medicine.
Food, air, and water provide the basic building blocks for cells and all of our physiologic processes.
The media has changed our ideas about food. So much of what people eat in industrialized countries, like the US, is processed. Detachment from the source of our food has made it easy to find quick meals, comfort “food”, and more, with additives to make it attractive to the consumer visually and to the taste.
The body will adapt to whatever we take in, all while desperately trying to maintain function and balance. Too often, consuming what is not really food can lead to or contribute to weight gain, fatigue, brain fog, digestive issues, joint pain, headaches, irritability, depression, anxiety, and inflammatory conditions.
Any condition can be addressed with acupuncture and food as medicine. If you are new to acupuncture, treatments are relaxing and the benefits continue to flow for at least 6 hours, as if you are still on the table in the office or at home resting comfortably after a remote treatment.
Consider a consultation and treatment based on the ancient teachings of Classical Chinese Medicine. Register for a class or workshop to learn how to restore balance and maintain health. Check back here often for information about food, recipes, herbs, and more!
